2 weeks outside - day 3
We thought that it was supposed to rain in the morning, but lucky for us, it didn't. We were able to enjoy the cooler temperature without having to worry about over heating. I brought out some paper and traced the children that wanted and they were able to colour "themselves" in.
Art Creativity Outdoors
During our first week of outdoor week we tried out our creativity.
On Tuesday June 14th we painted with mud. We enjoyed pushing
the mud all over our papers with our paintbrushes.
On Thursday June 16th we painted with nature brushes. The
brushes had different kind of leaves on them and were tied to
sticks. It was fun to see the different designs each brush would
make.

Working together
While using patience, cooperation, determination and perseverance these two children were able to work together to build a tower with the wedgits.

Monkey bars
The children have been strengthening their arms by practicing their skills on the monkey bars. It has been great to see the determination that they have had over the past few months to try and accomplish getting from one side to the other. They are so proud of themselves.
A new skill being tried.

Down to Their Level
Recently Mrs Rodrigues came into the large muscle room while Mrs Friesen and I were in there, and asked me " Mr Castell... Why is it that every time I come in here, you're on the ground?" To my reply "cmon...I'm getting down go their level!" I'm usually the one in our room that gets treated as a jungle gym, and I have no problem with it. The kids have fun and are working their muscles by climbing, holding, and balancing onto me. We always make sure we're cautious and if things seem to be getting out of control, I'll shut it down.
Lucky for me, the next time we went to large muscle we had both groups (older and younger) and I got to juggle them all... Here they are taking control... Haha
